Sister Deborah Jackson

Beginning and Early Years 

Sister Deborah Jackson was born in 1955.  She is one of five children of her parents, Charles and Sweetie Bell Clark.  She and her family were very active participants in the Anderson Park community and In 1972 She graduate from Henry McNeal Turner High School.

Work History

After graduating from high school Deborah worked in various capacities; however, in 1978 she was employed by the Keebler Cookie Corporation where she worked for eighteen years prior to the plant closing in1996.  Afterwards, Sister Jackson took up a trade and worked for Swift Transportation Company for two years followed by her employment with Greyhound Lines for eight years prior to receiving disability.

Children and other interests

Sis. Jackson is the proud parent of four children whom she dearly love; that is, Marcus, Torrance, Latresa and Darrius.  In addition, she has fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Sis. Jackson's states she remembers when one of her greatest challenges she faced during her second career was that of not being able to attend church weekly due to her work schedule.  Yet, similar to Hannah, she prayed to God and although she is disable she yet has the opportunity to be in the house of the Lord and is on the battlefield for Him.
