The Book of Revelation

The Book of Revelation, often called the Revelation to John, the Apocalypse of John, The Revelation, or simply Revelation or Apocalypse, is a book of the New Testament that occupies a central place in Christian eschatology. ... The book spans three literary genres: the epistolary, the apocalyptic, and the prophetic.

Revelation 1:1-6  
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2  Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
4  John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;
5  And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6  And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

In the study of this amazing book we're taking an indepth look into the author of the "Book of Revelation," the purpose of the writing, the time sequence as well as the geographical location of the writing.

Guidelines used to Study The Book of Revelations

​

  • Careful reference to the original Greek language.

  • Greek words are defined, clarified, discussed and applied to contemporary culture.

  • Biblical parallelism is used to compare and contrast other Scriptures in the Old with the New Testament.

  • Hermeneutical principles (Bible Interpretation Rules) are applied in the study. 

  • Active student participation encouraged!

Certificate of Completion

At the conclusion of this course, a "Certificate of Completion" will be issued to all deserving participants who complete the study of "The Book of Revelation' satisfactorily. Additionally, each participant shall be awarded and acknowledged during a morning service for their acheivement.
